The Online Calculator That Works Like Your Phone

Most online calculators are frustrating to use. They calculate before you finish typing, don't support keyboard shortcuts, and lose your history when you close the tab. This calculator is built to work exactly like the Samsung and Android default calculator you already know.

Type your full expression — it shows at the top in large text. A live preview of the result appears below in small gray text as you type. When you press equals, the expression moves to the top and the result becomes the large number. You can then continue calculating from the result, exactly like your phone.

How to Use This Calculator

Basic Flow

Type any number. The expression shows at the top in large text. As you add operators and numbers, the expression grows. A live preview of the current result shows in small gray text below. When you're ready, press = or Enter to confirm — the result becomes the large number and you can continue calculating from it.

Continuing from a Result

After pressing =, the result sits in the display. Simply press an operator to continue the calculation. The result carries forward as the first number of your next calculation, just like on Android.

Backspace

Use the ⌫ button or Backspace key to delete the last character of your expression one at a time. This works on operators too — press backspace when the last character is an operator to remove it.

History

Every completed calculation is saved in the panel on the right. Click any entry to load that result back into the calculator. Delete individual entries by hovering and clicking ✕, or clear all at once with the Clear All button.

Scientific Functions

Switch to Scientific mode for trigonometric functions (degrees), logarithms, square root, squaring, inverse, and the constants π and e.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the result show small below while I type?

This is exactly how Samsung and Android calculators work. You see your expression at the top while typing, with a live preview below. When you press =, they swap — the result becomes the big number. This lets you review your full expression before confirming.

Does my history save when I close the tab?

Yes. History is stored in your browser's local storage and persists between sessions. Your last 50 calculations will still be there when you return.

Can I continue calculating after pressing =?

Yes. After pressing =, simply press any operator to continue. The result becomes the starting number for your next calculation, exactly like your phone.

Can I use this on mobile?

Yes. The layout is fully responsive and touch-friendly with large tap targets on all buttons.

Are my calculations sent to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is ever uploaded or transmitted.

What does 00 do?

The 00 button appends two zeros at once, making it faster to type large numbers like 1,500,000 without pressing 0 six times.
